Rita Isenberg
Bass
Rita fell in love with that low resonant bass sound while
observing her 9-year-old daughter’s bass lessons…and started
lessons herself. After two years as the awkward Big Person at
the children's bass recitals, Rita joined a community orchestra,
organized a music ensemble with fellow librarians, and has been
playing regularly with New HOTS Jazz Orchestra since 2001. Rita
has studied bass with George Vance, Chris Kosky, and has
attended eight Francois Rabbath Summer Bass Workshops.
